Mansion Kids Origins

When I was young, I made up a series of stories to entertain my brother and sister when my parents left on dates. Inspiration for these stories came from a wide variety of places, including but not limited to: The Chronicles of Narnia, Home Alone, Spy Kids, and Swiss Family Robinson. Growing up in a regular sized home (4 bedroom 2 bathroom) we were sometimes jealous of what we saw in the media, and I feel like the Mansion was supposed to make up for all that we didn't have. Now that I'm older, I realize that I probably wouldn't feel comfortable living in a mansion. Who needs all the space? However, I still enjoy reliving the past, so this blog is a mix of both childhood nostalgia and adult reasoning. I hope to be joined by my fellow mansion kids as we discuss our movie and literature obsessions.
